WALNUT MACAROONS
Ingredients:
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 300F
- Lightly brush two baking sheets with vegetable oil and dust them with flour or line the baking sheets with a non-stick silicone liner.
- In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form while gradually adding the sugar.
- Add the walnut butter and beat until just blended.
- Drop batter from a teaspoon onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 30 minutes, without allowing macaroons to brown.
- Remove macaroons from the baking sheet and cool them on a rack.
To make a delightful variant of these easy homemade macaroons, substitute any nut butter of your choice instead of walnut butter.
