Description icon

Dried California apricots are halved and dried, and have a more intense sweet-tart flavor than its counterpart the dried imported apricot. Our apricots are rich in healthy nutrients and make a perfect snack for your trips, busy workdays, or any occasion. These dried fruits are full of antioxidants, vitamins A, E, C, potassium, phosphorus, and calcium. They also include fiber. Rich in vitamins A and E, dried apricots support eye health and protect against free radical damage. The high antioxidant content helps neutralize oxidative stress and potentially reduces the risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. With a significant amount of dietary fiber, dried apricots promote better digestion and may positively influence gut health. The combination of vitamin C and iron in dried apricots may help fight anemia by boosting iron absorption.

Please note that dried California apricots contain sulfur dioxide for color retention and may contain occasional pit fragments.

Are dried apricots good for skin health?

Apricots are rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as essential fatty acids, all of which are important for skin health. Vitamin A supports skin renewal, vitamin C improves collagen production and helps brighten the complexion, and vitamin E serves as a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from damage.

How many dried apricots can I eat a day?

The recommended serving size for dried apricots can vary based on factors like age, gender, and activity level. Generally, it's best to consume them in moderation since they have high natural sugar and calorie content. A typical portion is about 1/4 cup or 30 grams.

How to add dried apricots to your diet?

You can enjoy dried apricots as a quick snack, mix them into trail mix, or use them as a natural sweetener in fruit or green salads. Try them as a topping for bagels, ice cream, or even rice pilaf for added flavor. Pair dried apricots with peanut butter on celery or mash them into a creamy dip. They also complement cheese and crackers and make them perfect for sweet and savory combinations.

    Better Than The Best

I have been eating Fastachi's California Apricots almost as long as I can remember. My father started us on them early. I didn't know that there were any other kind of apricots until I bought a bag of dried apricots. Let me put it this way: I threw the bag out. The apricots were terrible. Bland. Tasteless. Fastachi's California apricots, on the other hand, are so good. Moist. Tart. Flavorful. And, they are fantastic in tagines. They are better than the best.
