- Add the filtered water to the food processor, covering the hazelnuts completely.
- Blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Place a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer over a large bowl or jug.
- Pour the hazelnut mixture into the nut milk bag or strainer, and press to extract as much milk as possible. Discard the remaining hazelnut pulp or save it to make a hazelnut chocolate spread.
- If desired, add maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the extracted hazelnut milk. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the roasted hazelnut milk into a glass bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Shake well before using, as natural separation may occur.
